Background
Timothy J. Cartwright is Managing Director of Compass Advisory Group, LLC, a firm he founded in 2003. Compass Advisory Group is an investment bank that completes mergers & acquisitions and corporate restructurings for middle market companies. Prior, he co-founded By-Products Interactive, an electronic trading, market research and publishing company; and Benchmark Solutions, a supply chain consulting company. He started his career with Arthur Andersen in Chicago, IL.
Education
He holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin and a Masters in Management (MM) in Finance and Accounting from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
Community Involvement
Locally, Tim is the Chairman of the Gulf Coast Venture Forum, a non-profit organization of Angel Investors in Southwest Florida. Mr. Cartwright is an ex-officio member of the Board of Director for the Economic Development Council of Collier County. He also serves as a member of the Southwest Florida Regional Technology Partnership’s Board of Directors and member of the organizing committee for the Southwest Florida Chapter of BioFlorida. He has volunteered frequently for the American Red Cross of Collier County.
At the state level, Mr. Cartwright serves as a judge for ITFlorida’s annual statewide awards program and as a member of the Selection Committee for the Florida Venture Forum’s Early Stage Venture Capital Conference.
