The STEM@Work wrap-up session will be held from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday at City of Palms Park. The business community is invited to participate in this culminating event, which will include a presentation by students on their assessment of City of Palms Park based on what they learned working with engineers on a “Complete Streets” project. Through the STEM@Work program, implemented by The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools in partnership with The School District of Lee County, students have had the opportunity to learn through involvement with businesses in Lee County. Through field trips, shadowing, internships and hands on experiences, students were given the chance to experience the day-to-day operations of professionals in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. For reservations, call Gerri Langelier at (239) 337-0433 or email gerri@leeschoolfoundation.org
